On April 14th, students in Grades 5/6 worked together to run a bake sale to raise funds for their end-of-year activities. The newly elected Student Leaders of the class led the fundraiser, with the intention of buying supplies for a countdown to summer for the entire class. Students were able to purchase cookies, brownies, slices, and ice-cream sandwiches. Purchase limits were put in place so that all students could have the opportunity to enjoy the handmade treats; however, this didn't stop 5/6 from selling out before the end of lunch. The SLA student community thoroughly enjoyed the bake sale and appreciated the hard work and effort 5/6 put into the project.
We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents, students, and teachers who helped 5/6 to make their bake sale a sweet success!
